Welcome

It is the goal of the East Troy Geek Squad to bring forth the capabilities of technology and present them in a manageable, clear, and understandable way. We do understand that sometimes it may seem like the confusion, hassle, quirks, and even risks of using technology outweigh the benefits, but we're here to change that.

Chrome Web Store

You often will hear us talking about apps and extension and other resources on Chrome,  but how do you get to them?  As you open Chrome it opens what's called "The New Tab Page".  This is the page that houses all of  your apps and where you can access your "Recently Closed", "Access Devices", and the "Web Store".
If you look down to the bottom of your page in the grey area you will see Web Store.  You can click on any part of that partitioned grey area and it will take you to the Chrome Web Store.  From here you can search for many Apps that could become great tools for learning.  You can go to the side bar and search by category for educational apps, games, tools extensions and themes.  To add any of those to your Chrome browser you simply place your cursor over the app/extension/theme/etc and in the lower right you will see a plus sign and it will say: "Add To Chrome".  You click "Add To Chrome".  Once you've clicked to add it you have to wait a moment for it to download, and if you've added an app, once it's downloaded Chrome will automatically open a new tab and show you where it is so you can move it around wherever you would like to.
